Okay guys, I'll explain a bit about the science and experience I got during the week of practice in the kitchen. On this day we are given indonesian menu of practice, today we just continue the menu that diprepare on the previous day. On the previous day we were a group of 10 given the trust to handle banana ijo. At the time of the process of making banana ijo, one of my group's friends asked, "why do not the dough batter only batter dough" ?. So guys, should you know that banana ijo that many enjoyed by various circles, there are actually 2 versions. the difference between the versions lies in the dough that is used. One version uses the dough and other versions using different skin dough.Through this blog, I will explain a little about the difference between these two versions of banana ijo.
Well, guys. I will mention a little bit about the difference between the two existing banana versions. So what distinguishes between these two doughs is in terms of dough, skin dough that is more textured and liquid diluted when compared with steamed skin, skin texture steamed more dense and caly. The next difference is in the cooking process. In the dough bake, as the name suggests, this dough is directly poured into hot teflon until cooked, while in the steamed dough, the dough is mixed above in a skillet that has previously been put in coconut milk and water to boil. Then, stirred together with other ingredients until well blended.
To further convince you, below is a picture of the difference between the two types of banana leather batter:
Pisang ijo kulit dadar :
Pisang ijo kulit kukus :
That's a little explanation about the difference between the two banana skin dough. I hope you can understand and be able to tell the difference. Hopefully what I write on this blog can be useful for you.
